Completed marimbas
I have missed a few months as I moved to a different platform and have been working flat out to complete two marimbas so I can run a small club at school. I finished the soprano first, then began immediately on a tenor marimba but extended it a little below the C3. It goes from G2 up to C5. Two octaves and a few notes. This gives a little more option playing bass notes as I don't have a source of wood to make anything larger than these 50cm bars. G2 is really a distant reach for this set up and it doesn't sound great down the bottom end but with the resonators in place it is acceptable with soft beaters!
